Customer Review: Good Looking Watch But Very Unreliable
I purchased the Japanese version of this identical watch. It is called PRG60 instead of PAG60 in Japan. After a year or so, the light quit working. Then a few months later the compass quit. Then a few months later the Altimeter/Barometer (I think it is the same sensor) quit. Finally the thermometer quit. Now it is an old fashioned plain Digital/Analog watch. I called Casio. They said they will not fix it because they don’t have the parts since this is an international version of the watch!! It is the same watch!! Just with a different model number. But the watch looks very attractive. A lot of people have commented on the appearance of this watch since this is the only Casio watch that has an unusual light purple colored photoelectric cell that looks very pretty. Too bad that it is poorly engineered.

Casio Mens Sea Pathfinder Solar Titanium Watch #SPF70T-7V Casio Men’s Sea Pathfinder Solar Titanium Watch #SPF70T-7V Made for the rugged sea-farer, this solar-powered Casio Pathfinder Triple Sensor men’s digital watch (model SPF70T-7V) includes a built-in digital compass, thermometer, barometer, and depth gauge. Its watch case and bracelet band are made of titanium–which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It’s also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic. And because it’s solar-powered–charging in either sunlight or indoor light–you’ll never have to deal with changing the battery. Light enters the watch through the sapphire crystal and dial, and hits a solar cell beneath the dial. Current is created and stored in the battery.

The digital compass displays 16 directions and has a 5-set memory capacity that captures direction, month, date, and measurements time data. You can predict changing weather patterns using the Pathfinder s barometer. It takes readings every two hours, stores them automatically, and can graphically display the barometric pressure for the past 26 hours. It also offers a depth gauge to measure and record ranges from 0 to 80 meters (0 to 263 feet). You can change from meters to feet easily. The watch uses a system-specific nitrogen loading graph.

Timing functions include a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity with elapsed time, split time, and 1st/2nd place time modes, optional hourly signal, daily alarm, 12/24-hour format, and autocalendar (to 2039). Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

Customer Review: Very Functional BUT
4 years of surfing abuse and still works, the tide chart and backlight are excellent BUT the plastic buttons have all cracked, two have fallen out and the band is about to give out. The face scratches very easy and has to be polished with auto compound. Casio should have made a GShock tide solar watch by now, only thing close is the GLX5600.
Customer Review: Great watch!
I love this watch. It’s a great price for a solar-powered watch (I got it for $30) and has tons of features (alarm, countdown timer, stopwatch timer, backlight, etc.). It has the very handy feature of having one button adjust forward and one backward, so you don’t have to go through 60 minutes or 24 hours to set the time or alarms. The band looks very durable, and it’s a really nice-looking watch. Great buy!

Customer Review: I can’t find a better watch
This review is about PRG60T-7V, the analog-digital (ana-digi) Solar Casio Triple Sensor Pathfinder Protrek watch. Some reviews listed under this item are about different Pathfinder Protrek watches without the analog hands which I never seriously considered. Analog dials have a great advantage - you can take a split-second glimpse and still know what time it is, and combined with digital dials they give you an abundance of available readings. I have been looking for and buying only ana-digi watches like this because of their functionality and flexibility.

Customer Review: Great features BUT brittle
I’ve had it for a about 2 years…then just like the earlier reviews, the band just broke and came loose. It’s not the band that needs replacement, it’s the whole assembly where the band hooks up. I’ve asked some watch stores and it’s gonna be costly to have it repaired. Just a sad end, to an otherwise very functional time piece.
Customer Review: Sea Pathfinder Broken Band/Case
After using my Sea Pathfinder Casio for about 1.5 years the band just broke without any special cause. After taking it apart, it appears that the actual case broke and not the band. It is impossible to simply replace the band. I would need a new section of the case to replace the plastic piece that broke. A disappointing end to a watch that otherwise performed well. Apparently this is a reoccuring failure mode for this watch and one for which potential buyers should be aware.

Casio Mens Sea-Pathfinder Digital Watch #SPF70-1AV Casio Men’s Sea-Pathfinder Digital Watch #SPF70-1AV Customer Review: Time Machine Extraordinaire!
This watch has been my daily wearer for over seven months. It features a Duplex LCD Display, 12 or 24 Hour timekeeping, 5 daily alarms, Day-Month-Year Calendar, Hourly Time Signal, Magnetic Compass, Barometer, Thermometer, Depth Gauge, 24 Hour Stopwatch and 24 Hour Countdown Timer. It is powered by a solar cell located in the upper portion of the display that charges a CTL-1616 battery that is used to maintain the memory contents when the watch is in sleep mode. The Casio Owners Manual states that the watch may be stored for up to 2 years without a charge. This is a rather large watch measuring 55mm in diameter. The main timekeeping display numerals are about twice the size of the normal digital watch display. For those with less than perfect vision, this makes it very easy to read the time. This watch is accurate. I set mine to my radio-controlled atomic clock on the day that I received it. Seven months later, it is still spot on to the second! The construction is first rate, and the buttons function much smoother than on the G-Shock series. All the functions on this watch get daily usage from me - - - and they all work flawlessly. The alarms are quite a few decibels louder than those found on lesser digital watches. Of course being a world class product, all functions exclusive of timekeeping may be set as either standard or metric. Mine was bought from Watches Giant. I have had several “High End” watches like Omega and Rolex which were all purchased new from authorized dealers. This watch beats them all for accuracy, usefulness, and practicality.
